“My freight isn’t the prettiest on the road, its used trucks. I think sometimes carriers don’t think service is very important, I mean how hot can a used cement truck can be.

But my forwarder gets all over my case if I don’t let him know when the trucks are going to hit the port so he can cut the paperwork. We get a better deal if we put the trucks at the port exactly when they tell us so we don’t take up yard space. It seemed like every time I’d called my other guy, I’d get his voice mail or he’d tell me he’d call me back…. Which he did when the truck was empty. Right on time with what I would expect…..except now I got a truck at the port and Juan is scrambling to get the paperwork together so we can get these things on the boat.
